What we do
Our Story, Our Dream
Where All Women Are Honored orWinyan Wicayuonihan Oyanke, began from one woman’s dream and fierce commitment to ending violence against Indigenous women. Joined by young women sharing the same dream, WAWAH opened its shelter doors with nothing but a strong desire to keep women and children safe and honored.
Join us – Support Our Work
Together we can end violence against our Indigenous relatives.
Community Partners
Community partners play a vital role in creating safety and support for Indigenous women and Two Spirit relatives. Through collaboration with tribal nations, shelters, schools, health providers, and advocacy organizations, WAWAH strengthens coordinated responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. These partnerships help ensure survivors receive culturally relevant, trauma-informed services and that prevention efforts are rooted in community knowledge, trust, and shared responsibility.
